Women 4 Change
Executive Director: Virginia Dunstone

Women 4 Change is an non-profit organization dedicated to providing women in prison the information and skills necessary to facilitate personal growth in the areas of self, family, relationships, and society. With this information women leaving prison will be able live productive lives and therefore positively effect society and reduce the recidivism rate.
Women 4 Change seeks to educate women in the "4" key areas of self, family, relationships, and society by giving them the psychological strategies needed to make healthy personal choices and alter negative behavioral patterns. Additionally, the program serves the children and families of incarcerated women by teaching women positive behavioral skills and techniques for passing these skills on to their families.
Women 4 Change has worked with over 1,200 women at the Perryville facility in Goodyear, Arizona. W4C has also completed a successful pilot program in California. At present a ten-year study of released women who have graduated from the LifeScripting program indicates a less than 4% recidivism/return rate. (The national return rate is 67.7% within three years.) The unprecedented success of this program speaks not only of its value to the women but of the women's need for life-changing information that will positively affect their lives and therefore the future of their children, their families and society.
